2014 and No Promises

Happy Fucking New Year!

I hope everyone enjoyed last night and wasn’t too bad off this morning.

It’s a new year and new things are all around.
Not much is going to change around here but I’m hoping the pace will pick up. It’s like a tricking cemetery around here and most of that is my fault, I know.

I want to apologize for last month. I wasn’t really around and there’s no excuse for my absence. December was a busy month but now it’s past and its a fresh year do I want to get it off to the right start.

This week I will be getting a new boss as my old one is being transferred. I’m not exactly sure how I feel about that but I guess I’ll be figuring that out soon.

I have some great news.
As part of my new years promise, no promise to myself I’m going to start writing fully again. Even if that consists of 200-500 little blots whenever I can fit it in.

I won’t be going to GRL this year as I’m planning on taking all vacation time together and going away with the family so I’ll have to catch you guys next year.

Also, there will be no Author Spotlight this month. I’ve realize that in order to continue having authors stop by, I have to book them months in advance and realistically that just doesn’t work but congrats to all those blogs out there that do it successfully.

That’s not to say I won’t be guilting some writing friends to stop by for a word or two, it just won’t be planned. So it’ll be like little treats.
Treats are goof, right? Lol.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and wish you all a new year.

Also. In case you were wondering about the Promise, no promise thing. I prefer saying that to s resolution simply because it doesn’t put so much pressure on yourself and if you ask me you’re more likely to succeed.

On that note, what’s your Promise, No Promise?

I have this very bad habit where I write posts and press publish.
or at least think I do.
instead, I save it as a draft.

so, sorry for not publishing this last week like I thought I did.

Karma is a AU story by I.D-Locke that you can find on her blog, . its pretty long but it is fantastic.

I first read it last year but I reread it a month ago and thought I should spend some time talking about it.
this is a completed work. the characters are 1005 ORIGINAL AND AMAZING TO BOOT. SHE EVEN HAS VERY EXPENSIVE dolls that she created for the main characters and later on their children and their children.
I don’t want to give to much away because its impossible to talk about parts of it without having to explain everything. it contains magic and capabilities to walk In dreams, raise the dead and love beyond belief.
there’s a shorter story that is also completed that starts off where Karma finishes and is the son’s story.
there is also another spinoff that is on another website, yaoi-fix, and is just as compelling.

comment and let me know if you’ve read this story and who your favorite character is and why.
at the end of the year, I will pick one comment and give that person a month subscription to yaoi-fix. it has many completed stories and many that are in progress and updated once a week. its very good, the only problem is that you want to read them all but you have to wait as the take turns updating.

sorry for the delay and can’t wait to hear from you!

the winner is…

Brenda Maldonado!

congrats, Brenda.

check you email for a message from me to collect your copy of Jet’s book and your giftcard from amazon.

thanks to everyone who stopped by this month and commented.

this month I’ll be focusing on I.D Locke and Andrew Grey. None of them will be stopping by, I’ve just recently finished some of their books and wanted to talk abut it. (I know, how selfish of me) lol

you can still win a $10 ARe giftcard (if you have an account with them) or one from Amazon and a copy of Love Means…No Shame.

rules are the same; comment on one of the posts and you’re entered automatically. now, while you can only enter once, I still love hearing from you guys (nudge).

Also, I just thought I should mention that I’m not focusing on doing my recipes anymore. I might still post some once in a while but I don’t think anyone really cared for it, so I’m not going to do it every week. maybe once a month.
