Bi-Weekly Goal

Well, while I got some editing and writing done in the past two weeks I didn’t get in exactly as much as I was hoping to. I’m currently trying to write a quite revealing and vital memory of Tim’s between his aunt and him. Of course, it has to do with Danny although it does not involve the Golden God himself. I’m hoping to get it done during these next two weeks.
I am also planning on writing a short story inspired by a picture I saw over on the blog Cryselle’s Bookshelf. I hope for it to be somewhere between 1,000 and 15,000 words; hopefully on the shorter side but we never know these things work out in the end.
Since I am posting this update from my phone, I unfortunately cannot post the picture right now but I hope to do it later in the week, if not later today or tommorow. For now, I’ll settle for a discription of the photo:
A young man, of college age, stands before a backdrop of fully stuffed bookshelves that span the length of the wall behind him, top to bottom. He is clean cut with a creamy complexion. He wears a white collared shirt underneath a plain short sleeve pale grey shirt with light blue, loose fitting jeans and comfortable looking sneakers. In his hands he holds a large brown text that seems to have captured his attention.

As a self-admitted obsessed book lover, this picture called out to me. The atmospere has a warm feeling and automatically brings to mind a crackling fire, warm blankets and snuggling.

I am looking forward to this project and hope it will help to get more creative juices flowing for Tim and Danny.

The Never-Ending List

Do you have a TBR (To Be Read) list? I certainly do. I have my Goodreads list, my B&N wishlist, my AllRomanceEbooks wishlist and a bunch of little scraps of paper with author names or titles of (e-)books I want to read.
Hundreds of books and yet I’m always complaining that I have nothing to read, LOL.
I have a few unread paperbacks laying around and dozens of downloaded e-books just waiting to be read. But, you see, I have a fear.
It seems to me that for each book I DO read, another dozen is added to my TBR List and I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever catch up with them.

GOOD NEWS, though. I’ve read a handful of new e-books this week……..and added 5x that to my Goodreads TBR List -_- yeah, that’s right. I now have 20 books more to read than I did last week. Quite a dilemma, huh?

At least for the foreseeable future, my nights will be full of hot, steamy sex and even hotter men. Ah, the wonderful world of Male Male Romance.

Write Change Up

A few days ago I posted a post titled Goals. It was my written word goal for this past week. My plan was to post a goal at the beginning of each week in the hope of motivating myself to keep my goal by letting others know my plan.
Yesterday I realise that this is not a realistic goal for me to expect of myself. This is not because of the written word goal but because I have the tendency to edit as I write.
It doesn’t matter if I have only manage to write a paragraph in a single sitting. After finishing writing, I will agonise over proper punctuation before then stressing correct grammar outside of internal and external dialogue.
After doing this I then reread what I’ve written, changing some parts and adding others. And you know where that leads, right? Yup, you guessed it. Back to editing, I mean re-editing, the punctuation and grammar. It’s a long and sometimes tedious writing process but what can I say? It works best for me. I may love what I’ve written but what I come up with the second time around is sometimes even better in my opinion.
So, back to my Goal posts. I think I will do them bi-weekly from now on. This way I have no excuse to not meet my word goal and still have time to edit to my little hearts desire.
